I was pleased to learn about the Logma’s sister branch that opened up in Dubai Mall’s Fashion District. I was even more pleased when I was invited to try this new branch which I found equally as lovely and consistent as their famous Box Park branch. Logma has a way of putting a unique contemporary spin on traditional Emirati cuisine.
We arrived a little after lunch and the restaurant was quite full. The restaurant has both indoor and outside seating. We sat inside due to the sweltering heat, the waiter found us a table inside, however I felt the tables were much too close to each other for my liking.
We ordered the Logma Shake, which had dates, banana and honey -very sweet and creamy. The Passion of Arabia is a concoction of pineapple and passion fruit-its absolutely delicious. The Jumeriah Blues made of blue lagoon, lemon and mint is new to their menu and provides a very refreshing and tangy drink that I couldnt get enough of.
For starters we ordered the scrumptious Khaleej spice coated wings which were fiery and so good. The chicken samboosa is a new feature on the menu and has a very interesting tangy taste. The best seller cheese samboosa’s were mouth watering.
By the time mains arrived, we were getting reasonably stuffed, we did forge ahead though and got the Chicken mozarella sandwhich, which I found a little bland and lacking in flavour, although the mozarella was very fresh and tasty. The Logma burger was perfect and is one of my favorite things on their menu. The Lamb machbous was absolutely delightful so flavoured and the lamb cooked to perfection.
For dessert we tried the Lotus Karak tea cake. Since Karak tea happens to be my favorite thing, idea of the cake appealed to me greatly and it tasted quite nice except the flavour and texture took a while to get used to. Overall very interesting combination.
Overall, Logma is consistent with its delicious food. I enjoy this place and the variety of dishes offered but mostly the service is always friendly and swift despite their busyness.
