Magnolia Bakery possess a simple yet irresistible charm, this place is truly warm and inviting. This branch is newly opened in Festival City. I found the décor vintage classy and homely. One of those places you could sit and let the hours pass by.
We came here for a menu tasting and to get our hands a little dirty making our very own gluten free cupcakes.
Magnolia holds regular baking classes at their branches, it’s really a fun concept that I think is great for a group of friends or a team building exercise. We measured, combined, whisked and mixed all sorts of ingredients to create our delicious cupcakes, under the watchful eye of the chef Chaminda. What a fun Baking Masterclass.
Since I was on a diet that week, I decided to go with the Chicken Cobb Salad. They offer a wide variety of salads, which I and a few of my fellow bloggers ordered. I liked the simplicity of their menu which is straight to the point. There’s nothing I hate more than a million and three menu items to choose from.
I really was pleasantly surprised at how all the ingredients tasted so fresh so delicious and tasty. Who knew healthy food could taste this good. The chicken was firm yet tender, the beef bacon perfect and the blue cheese livening up the dish. Simply loved it.
The Nicoise salad was good.
The Salmon Pasta was a decadent creamy beautiful dish.
To satisfy our sweet teeth, I don’t know if that’s even correct grammar but you get the drift, we had the caramel pecan cheese cake. One word-divinity.
The Raspberry cheesecake could be sweeter. The red velvet pancakes were good a little dry though.
Overall the food was fresh and really value for money.
The service was amazing and efficient. I definitely recommend this place for a lazy Saturday morning breakfast or for any indulgent treat over a cuppa. Lovely chilled out unpretentious atmosphere I will defibetly return, if anything for another baking class.
