There’s a few places on my list that hold a dear place in my heart or is it stomach? Logma happens to be one of those places. I had the pleasure of reviewing Logma’s new menu additions and as always I have never been disappointed at their food service and overall value for money they offer. Read about my last visit to Logma here.
Our waiter Raymar , was not only knowledgeable on the menu items, he offered delicious suggestions and was very engaging and attentive without being intrusive, plus he had a constant smile on his face. We really enjoyed his service.
For starters we had the chapati chicken bites and the chicken sambosas. We also had a healthy quinoa salad with dates and pistachios. The chicken sambosas were a delicate balance of wells spiced chicken pieces with creamy cheddar cheese pesto and basil, they literally melt in your mouth oozing decadence. The chapati bites were stuffed with chicken, peppers and cheese, also very tasty but my inclination was towards the chicken sambosas’s. The Quinoa salad was the best I have ever had, peppered with dates and nuts adding a delicious crunch and after half a bowl I was starting to feel rather full. Anyone that knows me knows salad and I are not very good friends, however this salad left me thinking I have fallen in love with salad. It was mouth watering.
For mains we ordered the Beef Khameer sandwich, which had slowly roasted beef, pesto tomatoes, mixed baby greens and cheddar cheese. The beef was succulent and well roasted, the dish was overall delicious, however it had a tangy aftertaste to it that I didn’t particularly enjoy, I think it was the sun dried tomatoes.
The lamb biryani is a new addition and was absolutely scrumptious, the aromatic biryani and spices tickled my taste buds perfectly the raisins gave the dish a lovely slight sweetness. The lamb was succulent and very tasty. The biryani is accompanied by a light and fresh raita sauce.
The exciting paratha’s are totally new on the menu and got me smacking my lips raring to go. We ordered the crispy fried chicken paratha which was stuffed with cabbage sauce and cheese.
These were served taco style and the presentation was absolutely eye catching. It was juicy, delicious and delectable all at once. Its really hard to decide on a favorite but I have to say this was it. Great addition guys, very creative and innovative.
By the time dessert came around I was stuffed beyond I could imagine but one can never say no to dessert so I had to make space. I had the Chebab Katayef which is an Arab pancake like pastry stuffed with marscapone and dates and drizzled in saffron cardamom syrup served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They say that dessert is like a feel good song and the best ones make you dance-this made my tummy dance all sorts of dances. I loved it, its sweet but not too sweet and the creamy marscapone oozing deliciously, mixed with the dates and ice cream serves as the perfect sweet tooth satisfaction.
To drink we had a creamy milkshake and the revitalizing Palm Island -pomegranate juice with mint.
Overall, I had an absolutely wonderful time at Logma, as always. I love consistency and this place offers just that and its no doubt they are so popular. The menu is filled with plenty delicious options that will tempt you to order every thing in sight so beware. The portions are more than generous and priced absolutely reasonable. The service is special and ever friendly…keep it up guys. Guys you’ve done a great job on the new menu items. Thank you for the invite and delicious food.
