Anatolia Turkish Grill is situated in the restaurant courtyard as you exit Ibn Battuta Mall close to China Court. The staff welcomed us with huge friendly smiles and ushered us to a table in the spacious restaurant.
Nothing beats warm freshly baked complimentary bread especially when you’re famished. The bread was so delicious we asked for a second basket. To order I recommend the following:
Lahmacun: Turkish pizza has a very thin base and generous portions of meat and peppers drizzled with olive oil. YUM!
Iskendaer Kebap which is beef and lamb meat thinly cut over thick pita bread that is soaked with homemade fresh tomato paste served with yogurt. I cannot emphasize how delicious this meal is. The bread soaking in the sauce creates a melt in your mouth sensation. Coupled with the rich meaty flavors creates a burst of exotic flavors. This meal is quite filling so dont fill up too much on the complimentary bread.
Biftek: Turkish Style Steak with roasted peppers tomato rice and traditonal turkish rice. The steak is fresh, well cooked and so juicy. Theres just no going wrong with Turkish food. Its always so fresh and packed with delicious flavors.
There was obviously no space for dessert considering we filled up on all the bread and our dishes. There is always room for tea so I ordered some to wash it all down, the tea served authentic Turkish style. Loved it.
This place is great, it looks like a fine dining place from the outside the price is definitely affordable and provides excellent value for money. If you are looking for amazing quality Turkish food that feels homemade and made with love look no further.
