Carinderia-Filipino food I love

I loved the Carinderia-ni-tandang-sora-in Deira but would the newly opened Karam branch live up to the excellent impression it made on me? The décor is simple and homely I loved the portraits displaying Filipino history embellishing the walls of the restaurant.

We were greeted very enthusiastically by the staff in the endearing sing song like melody that Filipino people use to greet people, I love it, so friendly and warm. We were ushered upstairs to the more spacious upper floor.IMG_5003

We were famished and after walking in the heat, we were really in need of a nourishing delicious meal. To order we had the chicken wings, which had a delicious spicy batter that I enjoyed tremendously. The wings were juicy and cooked through well. The beef ribs were succulent, well cooked, delicious marinade that wasn’t at all overwhelming but just right. The Chicken adobo, a personal favorite of mine, was one of the best adobo’s I have had to date, well spiced, great stock, great garlic flavors coming together to create a well-balanced dish. The rice so tasty you could eat it on its own plus its unlimited and all the rice lovers say oh yeah!

IMG_5013The food was wonderful, I was impressed with the consistency of the food, and the flavors were just perfect. I am so glad the standard of food was consistent. The portions very generous enough to serve two.The service was also amazing, with our waiter consistently checking on us and replenishing our rice. The prices are incredibly reasonable and well worth every single dirham.

They have karaoke and a band every Friday from 7PM onwards so do yourself a favor and visit this very amazing branch!! Thank you guys for a great food experience.
