Dubai has been abuzz with foodies raving about Tresind so when I was invited to try out their Iftar menu I was delighted. Tresind is situated on teh second floor of the Royal Nassima Hotel on Sheik Zayed. They pride themselves in creating Indian dishes of molecular gastronomy, I was anticipating the display of their expertise.
Tresind is very chic modernistic and dark lit inducing a uber romantic and alluring atmosphere. The decor is definitely captures a whisp of je ne sais quoi. Overall the food was impeccable and I will highlight a few of my favorites.
We were offered dates as iftar broke, their stuffed dates had crackling sweets and nuts which was delightful as it popped in your mouth.
The starters also included almond and safron milk, edamame, zaatar and fruit jars.
I loved the gorgeous colour that splattered across each dish. The corn on the cob and bread were fresh and piping hot.
The eggplant salad with nuts pomegranate seeds with a tangy dressing was a sight for sore eyes and it tasted even better.
The creamed wild mushrooms were a heavenly delectable melange of perfection. This dish was beautifully balanced with a savoury flavour that accentuated the soft mushrooms.
I also loved the couscous salad.
We were offered a variety of biryanis and curries which were all fantastic and delightfully tasty.
However what stood out for me was the short rib which literally glided like butter when I cut a piece. It was the best short rib I have had in a while. The sauce it was marinated in so flavourful making this my favourite dish at tresind Wonderfully done.
I washed down with a delicious fruit and nut infused concoction.
Unfortunately I left before dessert but that’s OK because the food made up for that. Overall they offer a splendid menu and turn ordinary dishes into a wonderful culinary experience. Service was attentive and great. Definitely worth another visit.
