Viva Nandos

Nandos is well known for its delicious tender flamed grilled chicken and its specialty of irresistible peri peri sauces. Nandos a South African homegrown concept, has grown exponentially and can be found in almost 30 countries with over 1000 branches. I could have Nandos morning noon and night if I could.

Although most of the décor is pretty much standard, wooden chairs and tables, beautifully inspired local South African art on the wall. Every single branch tells a story and creates a unique homely
African experience. They really do a great job of creating an authentic vibrant atmosphere in every branch. This time I visited the East Rand Mall Branch.

I was pleasantly surprised to notice the Cherrytini cocktail on the menu and immediately wanted to try it. It was really good, sweet fizzy and refreshing. Just what you need to quench that summer heat.

When our order arrived, my mouth was watering, I couldn’t wait to get my fingers dirty in those delicious sauces. The presentation is always lovely in those clay plates, the food was piping hot I couldn’t wait for it to melt in my mouth.

IMG_20151230_135120The chicken was tender, juicy and so mouthwatering char grilled flavor. I have nothing but praises to sing for Nandos. It may be socially abominable but one of my favorite things is chewing on nandos chicken, which also ooze delicious juices. Try it for your self haha.

IMG_20151230_135014Nandos offers excellent value for money that will really leave you feeling satisfied. They were running a special during the festive season for 2 full chickens, chips and salad and a 2 liter cold drink for only R279 , now that’s what I call stretching your money. Service was slow.

You cant fail with Nandos finger licking bone chewing goodness. It’s suitable for all sorts of occasions and easy on the pocket. Viva Nandos
