A taste of Italy at Pizzaly

Pizzaly is a charming restaurant in the Jumeirah Village Circle community that usually caters for take away but has a small dine in area. I received an email from the owner to try out their pizza and I was wonderfully surprised.IMG_20151210_202743

What I liked most about Pizzaly is that they use fresh authentic and quality ingredients that can be tasted in the food. I really admire the passion and drive behind the desire to create authentic Italian pizza experience. The owner walked us through the menu and the inspiration behind the various out of the box pizzas.

IMG_20151212_164057I was especially intrigued about their international pizza’s which cater for the diversity in Dubai. I was also excited at the thought of having healthy pizza feature on the menu. Pizally offers brown dough pizza, with healthy toppings and wonderful desert.

The menu is split into Classic Pizza, these pizza flavors cover your traditional pizza flavpurs such as margherita, diavola and 4 cheese pizza.

We had the Bufalina pizza, which was made from fresh tomato paste, buffalo mozzarella garnished with basil leaves. I especially found the tomato paste very tomatoey  and bursting with such flavor and freshness.

IMG_20151210_204611The mozzarella was delicious and perfectly salted and not too cheesy but the right amount of elasticity. All I wanted was just a little more cheese on there. We were shown a sample of the mozzarella balls used to create the pizza, it was soft, fresh and tasty that I couldn’t stop at one spoonful.

We then had a sample from the international Pizza section of the menu. I loved the creativity in coming up with various pizzas that represent different nations.

For instance the menu offers, the Saudi Arabia, Germany, Mexico and Indonesia pizzas. We got to try the Thailand Pizza. Which was made with chicken curry and potato.IMG_20151210_210345

I found the pizza absolutely wonderful, with mouthwatering coconut infused curry and perfectly cooked chicken pieces.  The crusts are the perfect size. My only concern was that it was a little watery but that didn’t take away from the delicious taste of this innovative pizza.

We then tasted the green sea pizza from the healthy options. These are made with brown rye dough. The green sea pizza was made with zucchini paste, cheese and smoked salmon.

IMG_20151210_211929IMG_20151210_211920The pairing of the zucchini and salmon worked really well. The salmon was generously spread on the pizza making it the ultimate healthy pizza. It actually tasted nutritious and wholesome.

For desert, pizzaly offers either the custard pizza with peach and apple or the Nutella with roasted pine nuts with a dash of coconut milk. Seeing that I love chocolate there is no guesses which pizza I chose. I liked the fact that the Nutella was not too overwhelming and was just the right spread. It was perfect to end of a delightful line up of interesting pizzas.

I am honestly not a huge pizza fan but I must say that I may have been won over by the amazing pizza offered here. The best pizza I had was in Rome but the pizza here is the closest thing to that. I really enjoyed the innovative and creative offerings at Pizally. Their originality is bound to make them stand out. Really great job. Thank you
