We were greeted warmly by staff of the Hotel at the beginning of our Zomato Meetup. Waiters gave us a selection of welcome drinks and walked around to make sure that everyone had a something to drink at all times. The service here was nothing short of perfect.
The Palm Court is a very classy and spacious dining area. However due to the event, it seemed a little smaller than it is due to large numbers of people standing around.
We were tempted by beautiful dessert creations on display from all directions, from cakes to macaroons to tarts and much more. I loved the chocolate lollipops we sampled.
These came in pistachio with a white chocolate center, raspberry with white chocolate and Mango with a praline center. One word: divine.
There was a vast variety of sandwiches displayed as well as the lobster burgers which I found soft with a slight chewy interesting texture.
I loved the ox cheek pastry with a syringe gravy it had a mushy texture but overall very flavorful. The sour cream salmon tartines had a lovey tangy flavor which I liked.
I loved the presentation of the beautiful pastries served in tiered cages, so elegant and classy in line with the sophistication that follow most high teas. I hear this place is well reputable for their high teas. I need to visit soon for this decadent experience.
We also had a tea demonstration from Jing. The Jasmine and Blackcurrant flavored tea were phenomenal. The lady doing the tea demonstration explained that Jing tea is served mostly in Michelin starred restaurants and really adds a flair to a tea ceremonies. Jing tea is served in transparent glassware to preserve elegance and authenticity of the tea experience. I loved the tea because it tasted so natural and it was literally bursting with freshness. I am not an avid tea lover but the tea was something special.
We ended of the evening with a lovely goodie bag from the Jumeriah Hotel with amazing vouchers. Thank you so much for the truly memorable lavish experience and keep up the great work.
