My favorite Dubai’s Diverse Dishes at a steal

Boasting the World’s tallest building, hotel and shopping mall just to name a few, it is no wonder that Dubai is all about breaking records. When it comes to eating in Dubai, it’s simply a matter of knowing where to go. Since food really enhances ones travel experience, I wanted to share some hidden food gems. Check out 5 top places that provide amazing authentic diverse good quality food and service well under 80AED for two.

Imagine memorable food experiences that promise not to break your wallet and promise to leave your tummy smiling.

1 Mahareb Mandi & Madfoon

Finger licking authentic traditional Arab food at its absolute best, experience dining legs crossed, eating with your hands and enjoying the tantalizing spiced fragrant rice served with your choice of baby lamb or chicken. Relish succulent juicy flavors that will excite your taste buds and end of with their aromatic sweet mint tea. Al Manara Street, Near Infinity Car Showroom, Al Safa, Dubai

2 Bulwagang

Hole in the wall in Karama that serves delicious, hearty and scrumptious Fillipino food. They serve beef, seafood, chicken dishes and soups. This place offers the best chicken satays (kebabs) and chicken sisigs (beef marinated in sour sauce) and sinangag Oh and you have to try the lumpiang shanghai (beef spring rolls). To satisfy your sweet tooth, they serve the most delicious Halo-Halo Fiesta (traditional Fillipino desert of ice cream, jelly, custard and lots more).

3 Zagol

Delectable Ethiopian traditional dishes served on a beds of Injera (sourdough flat bread). You must try their Tibs (marinated beef with sautéed vegetables), Doro Wat (chicken based chilly thick stew), and the delicacy Kitfo (raw mince dish similar to steak tartare). There are plenty vegetarian options also. Finish your meal with a cup or three of home brewed sweet coffee.

4 Karachi Darbar

Traditional North Indian/ Pakistani meat or vegetable dishes are almost always served with either naan bread or roti. Try them for the best beef Rogan Josh (thick spicy curry) and creamy butter chicken. Serving a variety of tasty Biryani and Pulao (rice with stock), dishes, this place is at the top of my list. Vegetarian dishes feature extensively on the menu, a must try is the Palak Paneer (spinach cooked with cottage cheese). Nothing and I mean nothing is disappointing on their menu. For a treat, try some golab jamon (dumpling type desert served in sweet syrup.

5 Chin Chin

Scrumptious Chinese cuisine awaits you at Chin Chin. They serve our all time traditional favorites that we have come to love. I love their chicken Dimsum (dumpling) and prawn crackers. Their cheeky crispy beef is addictive and a must have. The spicy seafood rice, which contains an assortment of chilly, shrimp and calamari, is to die for. Only complaint is that there is so much variety, you might be left a little confused. Opposite Citymax Hotel, Barsha 1,
