Let them eat cake! Shakespeares (Dubai)

Entering Shakespeare one is instantly transported into a Victorian Drawing Room filled with aesthetic and eclectic pieces of furniture, wall paper, lights and ornaments.

This is the kind of place one could sit in the whole day only because the surrounds induce so much comfort and inspire creativity.   55

It will leave you nothing short of inspired.

We came to Shakespeare just  for dessert. There was a wide variety of cakes on display. Sidebar: their food menu is outstanding.54

We had  the Melissa (Almond  Chocolate Sponge Cake),59

the Pistachio Vanilla cake,

the Mille Feuille (Puff Pastry with light vanilla cream) 58

and the Pave Vanilla (Vanilla Sponge Cake with Vanilla cream).

Deciding on a favorite was not an easy task. The Melissa was decadent and rich, tasted very moussy with a tinge of bitter dark chocolate. As a lover of all things chocolate, I may be biased but it was divine.

I loved the Pave Vanilla second because it was so moist and soft and fresh. I am not a pastry fan so the Mille Feuille was a bit boring for my palate. The Pistachio cake had an interesting flavor to it and nice and creamy too.

Oh and the cappuccino and the three biscuits that accompanied it was just wonderful. 66

Overall such a delicious and decadent t cake experience. Shakespeare is a definite must try. There are different branches in Dubai. This one is located in Emirates Hills.
